Dinesh Kanabar

Dinesh Kanabar is an entrepreneur and is widely recognized as one of the topmost Chartered Accountants in India. With an illustrious career spanning decades, he has consistently been at the forefront of India’s tax and regulatory landscape, offering strategic and innovative solutions to both Indian and multinational businesses.

He has been closely involved in shaping India’s policy environment. He served on the Prime Minister–constituted Rangachary Committee on IT/ITES taxation and Safe Harbour Rules, the Body of Trade of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and the National Executive Committee of FICCI. He has also served on the Board of Shiv Nadar University, Chennai.

Before founding Dhruva Advisors, Dinesh held senior leadership positions at major global firms. He was Deputy CEO of KPMG India and Chairman of its Tax Practice, having earlier served as Chairman of the Tax Practice at PwC India, and as Deputy Managing Partner at RSM & Co., a highly regarded tax and consulting firm.

Dinesh serves on the Boards of several leading Indian corporations, including Reliance Industries Limited, Jio Platforms Ltd., Adani Green Energy Ltd., and PVR Inox Ltd. In addition, he is Vice Chairman at Ryan Global, contributing to strategic direction and governance across a rapidly expanding international platform.

Dinesh is a recognised voice in taxation, policy, M&A and India’s business environment. He speaks frequently at leading global and domestic forums, and his insights are sought by policymakers, business leaders and academic institutions. He is a winner of Asia tax practice leader of the year-2020
