Ahmed Hababou

Ahmed Hababou is president, Middle East, Egypt and Turkey & India at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. He is responsible for driving the strategy of the company’s business entities in these regions.

Mr. Hababou joined Air Products in 2002 and has held several key leadership positions, including serving as packaged gas technical manager from 2002-2005 and supply chain manager packaged gas in Southern Europe from 2005-2013; merchant operations manager from 2013-2015, head of European specialty gases and helium supply chain from 2015-2016, and vice president, general manager Southern Europe and Maghreb from 2016-2020. 

In 2020 Mr. Hababou assumed the position of vice president, Green Hydrogen, where he played a leadership role in developing Air Products’ green hydrogen project pipeline worldwide. He was named to his current role in 2023.

Prior to joining Air Products, Mr. Hababou worked in different parts of the world within the industrial gases, and oil and gas industries. 

Mr. Hababou holds a degree in engineering of arts and manufacturers from the École Centrale de Paris and has completed the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD.
