INOX Air Products awarded contract for setting up 2 x 1800 TPD ASUs at Tata Steel’s Meramandali Plant at Odisha

INOXAP’s first-ever collaboration with Tata Steel for a Long Term Onsite Contract

This project would entail the largest Greenfield investment ever made by INOXAP

This would be INOXAP’s largest Liquid Gases manufacturing facility, with capacity in excess of 600 TPD of Liquid Gases

Mumbai, 12th May 2023:  INOX Air Products (INOXAP), India’s largest manufacturer of industrial and medical gases has been awarded a contract by Tata Steel for setting up 2 Air Separation Units (ASUs) at Tata Steel’s Meramandali Plant, located in Dhenkanal district of Odisha. Each of the two ASUs will have the capacity to produce 1800 Tons of Oxygen per day, besides Nitrogen and Argon. The ASUs will also have a provision to generate rare gases. The ASUs will be commissioned with an investment of around Rs 1300 Crores, making it the single largest Greenfield investment ever made by INOX Air Products. INOXAP’s first-ever collaboration with Tata Steel would coincide with an ongoing steel capacity expansion for the renowned steel major.

While leveraging its state-of-the-art infrastructure and cutting-edge technology, the investment also signifies INOXAP's commitment to expanding its presence in the East Indian region and strengthening its market share as India’s largest industrial gases manufacturer. The development also consolidates INOXAP’s position as a preferred onsite merchant supplier.
