India’s Largest Industrial Gas Complex Serving AM/NS India
INOX Air Products owns & operates India’s largest industrial gas complex to supply 7900 metric tons per day of industrial gases, including 6,000 Tons of Oxygen and 1,900 Tons of Nitrogen to ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Ltd at Hazira, Gujarat in India.
INOX Air Products’ association started with AM/NS India, earlier known as Essar Steel India Ltd, in the year 2005 signing a contract for 900 TPD Air Separation Unit at Hazira. The plant was commissioned on 5th January 2007. Further in 2015, three running plants (1700 TPD X 3) belonging to Essar Steel, were taken over by INOX Air Products, making the entire complex the largest industrial gas complex owned and operated by a single company at any location in India.
Looking at the reliable operations of INOX Air Products, another contract of 700 metric tons per day plant was awarded to INOX Air Products in January 2021, with a very short execution timeline of 15 months. The project is underway and INOX Air Products is confident of delivering the product on time despite the pandemic. This will support the first major expansion in India by ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel company, after the acquisition of Essar Steel.
INOX Air Products’ 5th cryogenic ASU at AM/NS India’s Hazira plant, would have the capacity to generate 700 TPD of Oxygen and 300 TPD of Nitrogen along with other liquid gases. Once completed, the Gas Complex would have a combined production capacity of more than 9000 TPD of industrial gases.
Largest Greenfield Expansion in the Industrial Gases Sector in India
Supporting the Nation’s revival journey through massive investments in core sectors like Manufacturing and Infrastructure as announced in Budget 2021, India’s largest manufacturer of Industrial & Medical Gases, INOX Air Products has laid out massive expansion plans of INR 2000 Crores to build eight new Air Separation Units across the country. This will be India’s largest Greenfield investment plan ever witnessed in the Industrial Gases sector. With a combined capacity to manufacture more than 1500 Tons Per Day (TPD) of Liquid Gases, the expansion will take INOX Air Products’ total liquid gases production to 4400 TPD by 2024.
INOX Air Products’ new plants will be strategically located in proximity of high demand growth areas in the states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. The plants will produce liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen and liquid argon and will be commissioned during the course of FY22 to FY24.
Nitrogen Generators for Tyre Industry
INOX Air Products installed a state of the art, energy efficient and high purity and high pressure Nitrogen Generators for ATC Tyre(Yokohama Group), the largest producer of road tyres, for their two plants at Dahej, Gujarat and Tirunelveli, Tami Nadu.
The high purity and high pressure gaseous Nitrogen substitutes the hot water being used for the Tyre Curing, making Tyre Production an energy efficient and eco-friendly process.
INOX Air Products caters high purity and high pressure Nitrogen Gas requirements of other major Tyre manufacturing companies including CEAT, JK Tyres and MRF, besides ATC Tyre (Yokohama Group), through site installed and operated Nitrogen Generators or by specially designed high pressure Liquid Vaporization System or a combination of both.
Exceptional expertise in Hydrogen Generation & Supply
INOX Air Products is the one-stop solution for all Ultra High Purity Hydrogen needs starting from Generation, Pipeline Supplies and High Purity Cylinder Fillings with the highest safety record. INOX Air Products owns and operates state-of-the-art Steam Methane Reformers (SMR) for high Purity Hydrogen Production in the state of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, with the footprint slated to increase in the future.
INOX Air Products is the largest supplier of Hydrogen to Saint Gobain, India the largest Float Glass manufacturer in India. INOX Air Products is also a leading supplier of Ultra High Purity Hydrogen to Fuel Cell manufacturers and Speciality Gases consumers.
Some of the SMR receive piped Natural Gas (NG) and wherever the NG grid is not available, INOX Air Products brings the Liquefied Natural Gas Hydrogen through Cryogenic Tankers, stores, vaporizes and supply the NG to SMR at respective sites. Mixture of Hydrogen and Nitrogen Gas (generated in the ASU) is supplied to Special customers like Float Glass and Special Steel manufacturers.
INOX Air Products designs and operates their own Hydrogen + Nitrogen mixing skid and meets customer requirements 24×7 without any interruption to the customers. INOX Air Products also operates Cryogenic and De-Oxo purifiers for producing ultra-high pure hydrogen.
